FAQS

Is wrinkle reduction safe? In minute doses (as used in this type of cosmetic work) it is very safe. These serums are now the UK’s first choice of treatment to reduce the visible signs of aging. The cosmetic benefits of wrinkle reducing injections were discovered in 1990 and it has been used effectively and safely ever since

What is it? We use a purified bacterial substance that temporarily blocks muscle nerve signals thus relaxing them. By reducing muscle movement the lines soften and fade away.  You will still be able to move your face and your appearance will not radically change, the whole idea is to give you a natural look, just with fewer lines.

How long does the treatment take? The treatment itself is relatively quick taking between 10 and 20 minutes, however with a consultation appointment prior to this we ensure you are completely happy and informed about the treatment before undertaking.

How long do the affects last? The affects of the treatment are usually visible within a week and will generally last for up to 4 months. If repeated treatments are carried out in the same areas it usually lasts longer.

Are there any side effects? Side effects in this procedure are rare. Minor side effects occur in a small number of patients and are always fully reversible within a few days. Immediately after the injections there may be mild swelling, bruising and redness which subside within a few days. A very small number of people may experience temporary drooping of the eyelids and eyebrows but again this is reversible.
