Cosmetic dentistry (sometimes known as aesthetic dentistry or smile-makovers) covers a broad range of treatment of which the ultimate aim is the same – to provide you with a beautiful smile and functional long-lasting teeth.
Orthodontics (the straightening of teeth) is much more commonplace in adults than it ever was.
For most of us (particularly those who can recall their teenage years being marred by a distinctly metallic smile) the thought of having braces sends a shiver down the spine. Invisalign and Cfast, however, are just as effective as the traditional metal brace whilst being nearly invisible and also removable for when you are eating or brushing. The system is a set of plastic aligners that gradually straighten your teeth, bypassing much of the discomfort and inconvenience normally associated with orthodontic treatments.
Invisalign and Cfast are comfortable to wear and socially acceptable, in fact as the name suggests they almost impossible to detect when worn. If one of our qualified dentists make a decision on whether Invisalign or Cfast is an appropriate option for you (following a preliminary examination) a precision impression of your teeth is taken and a proposed schedule of treatment is sent to the company. The system then uses its advanced 3D computer technology to produce sets of custom-made aligners that you wear in sequence for about 2 weeks before changing to the next one in the series.
This treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that you change regularly for the next set of aligners. Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move, little by little, until they have straightened to the final position prescribed by your dental practitioner
Other, more traditional methods involve short term (4-6 months) of braces using wires and brackets.

It’s no secret that film stars and celebrities keenly seek this form of treatment to create their perfect smile. You may say it’s a professional requirement. This is considered to be the state–of–the–art cosmetic treatment and is now widely available to anyone who wants it.
Unlike caps and crowns, veneers only cover the front surface of a tooth. They are individually handcrafted from porcelain by a highly skilled experienced technician. They are used to rectify many defects, examples of which are shown in the photo gallery. These include closing gaps, realigning crowded and protruding teeth, and whitening discoloured teeth.
Porcelain veneers are very strong and last up to fifteen years, providing a lasting smile. They look very natural so people will not know you've had the treatment unless you tell them. They are easy to look after with no special care needed. Done properly and with careful brushing and maintenance, crowns and veneers can last several decades before they are replaced.
Facial Rejuvenation and Botox
Bradley and Partner’s in Canterbury also offers discreet facial rejuvenation clinics.
Our fully qualified associates Georgina Chilcott and Lucy Illingworth offer muscle relaxing injections of Botulinum Toxin Type A (Bocouture) for the treatment of forehead lines, frown lines and laughter creases around the eyes (“crow’s feet”). These simple, non-surgical injections help reduce the signs of aging by smoothing wrinkles and facial lines. It can have fantastic effects on both your appearance and confidence.
We can offer you a FREE consultation to discuss the treatment along with any concerns you may have.
Is Botox Safe? In minute doses (as used in this type of cosmetic work) it is very safe. Botulinum toxin type A (or “Botox”) is now the UK’s first choice of treatment to reduce the visible signs of aging. The cosmetic benefits of Botox were discovered in 1990 and it has been effectively and safely ever since
What is Botox? Botulinum Toxin is a purified bacterial substance that temporarily blocks muscle nerve signals thus relaxing them. By reducing muscle movement the lines soften and fade away. You will still be able to move your face and your appearance will not radically change, the whole idea is to give you a natural look, just with fewer lines.
How long does the treatment take? The treatment itself is relatively quick taking between 10 and 20 minutes, however with a consultation appointment prior to this we ensure you are completely happy and informed about the treatment before undertaking.
How long do the affects last? The affects of the treatment are usually visible within a week and will generally last for up to 4 months. If repeated treatments are carried out in the same areas it usually lasts longer.
Are there any side effects? Side effects in this procedure are rare. Minor side effects occur in a small number of patients and are always fully reversible within a few days. Immediately after the injections there may be mild swelling, bruising and redness which subside within a few days. A very small number of people may experience temporary drooping of the eyelids and eyebrows but again this is reversible.
