Multiple Implants - Bridgework
If you have several missing teeth, you do not need to place a dental implant at each site where a tooth is missing. For instance, 2 dental implants will securely hold a bridge housing 3 teeth.
Bridgework on implants can be done at the front of the mouth and at the back – restoring your mouth to full function and aesthetics.
Many other combinations of implant number : tooth number are possible but each case is different and unique and needs to be assessed on its own merits.
Advantages of multiple implants and bridgework:
- They often replace a denture and are a far far superior alternative
- They feel and function like the remaining teeth in your mouth
- No damage to adjacent healthy teeth (unlike conventional non-implant bridgework)
- A stable and very long lasting solution
